In the little village of Bawa, everyone knew Kofi. He was kind, honest, and always willing to help anyone in need. One day, while walking through the busy market, he met an old man sitting alone. The man looked tired and weak, but his eyes were sharp as he called Kofi over.
“Young man,” the old man said, “you have a good heart. I’ve been watching you. I want to give you something special.”
He reached into his bag and pulled out a golden ostrich egg. It shimmered in the sunlight, unlike anything Kofi had ever seen. “This egg is a gift,” the man explained. “It will bring blessings to anyone who uses it wisely. But it must never fall into the wrong hands.”

Musa lunged for the egg, but Zara was quicker. She grabbed a stick and swung it at him, giving Kofi a chance to act. A fierce fight broke out. Musa was strong, but Kofi’s determination was stronger. After a tough struggle, Kofi managed to grab the egg and pin Musa to the ground.
The villagers, who had followed them into the forest, helped tie Musa up. They carried him back to the village, where he was made to face the elders.
Kofi returned the golden egg to its place, and the village rejoiced. But he reminded everyone, “This egg isn’t what makes us strong. It’s our unity and kindness to each other. Let’s never forget that.”
From that day, the village stayed united and strong—not because of the egg, but because they had learned the true meaning of working together and doing what’s right.
