The garri was really sandy

The garri was really sandy, I would sieve the garri for dirt and rocks before selling it.

Dear Chinwe Okogwu,

Thank you so much for your honest feedback regarding the garri. We’re truly sorry to hear that it felt sandy and did not meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience it caused.

We’d also like to take a moment to provide some clarity. Garri is made from cassava, and since cassava has a brown skin, the peeling and processing—whether done by hand or machine—cannot remove every bit of the outer layer. As a result, small brown particles may be present in the final product. This is completely natural and common with traditional garri processing.

Additionally, garri cannot be sieved the way one might sieve flour. What may seem like sand or particles are often fibers or shaft from the cassava itself, especially in varieties intended for eba.

That said, we truly appreciate your feedback and will continue to work on providing clearer product descriptions and sourcing the best quality items for our customers.

Thank you again for choosing My Sasun African Store, and we hope to continue serving you better.
