Ola ola mixed with starch or baking soda

I bought this ola ola pounded yam and I am so full of regret. It was clearly mixed with baking soda or starch. Huge clumps in the back and extremely whiter than the poundo itself. Not safe to eat and $41.99 down the drain just like that. I will not be shopping here any longer. The 3 times I have shopped there are problems.

We want to clarify that this has been a recent, widespread issue with the Ola Ola brand. We’ve received multiple similar reports and have escalated the matter repeatedly to the supplier, but unfortunately have not received a formal response from them. It appears a faulty batch may have been released into the market, and we were unaware of the defect until customer feedback began coming in.
