Until now, My Sasun has been a trusted store where you could find African foods and essentials. But now we are moving a step further. Instead of only selling directly, we’re opening the doors for other vendors and businesses to list their products with us too. So, what this looks like is that we are turning one small store into a large African marketplace where many sellers gather under one roof.
Nigerians love all three, but Titus (mackerel) is the classic go-to for rich, flavorful stew. Panla (stockfish) gives a traditional taste, while catfish adds that fresh, juicy bite especially in pepper soup and fresh stews.
Leaving Nigeria doesn’t just mean leaving behind family and friends. It means leaving behind the food. And to be frank, Nigerian food is not something you just “replace” abroad. You can try to explain it to others, you can try to cook it in your new kitchen, but some things just don’t taste the same outside Naija.
